1.Fill a holder with water. You can decorate the water with colorant or a picture. 2.Put a layer of vegetable oil on the water. Minimal a half inch. 3.Roll up a part (1×1inch) of kitchen paper to a oil wick. Cut it to ±¾ inch. 4.Put this oil wick in the hole of the floating candle. 5.After that you put the floating candle slowly on the vegetable oil. Wait a few seconds till the oil is absorbed into the wick. 6.At last you can strike the wick with a lighter.
Important: don’t use lamp oil! After 10 till 20 hours you can clean the floating candles in soap water. After the cleaning from the floating candles, blow in the hole to make it dry. If you floating candle smoke, is your wick to long.
